3.a The 4 little children's books

The Snowmans Coat book cover The Science Questions books are written for young children to use at home or in school. They use a story format which is based on a concept cartoon. They invite young children to think about situations and provide guidance for a supported investigation that they can carry out. These books also link science and literacy very effectively.

Reviews:

BFC, Jan 01
Children can discover science the fun way with these four colourful books filled with exciting experiments.

John Crossman, Education Extra
The books are delightful, with real science at the core.

Dr Anil Kumar (Glaxo Wellcome plc)
These colourful, striking books stand apart from other resources and will certainly help with the teaching and understanding of science as they are able to spark curiosity and fuel discussion in a simple and original manner.

John Austin, Channel 4 Schools
They are bright, colourful, very appealing and disarmingly simple in their presentation

Max de Boo, University of Hertfordshire
Fascinating, relevant and informative science books. You, the children and the parents won't be able to stop yourselves investigating!

The Financial Times, July 2000
If you feel children are never too young to start investigating the scientific world, you will enjoy The Snowman's Coat. Nicely produced and laid-out, this little book would be useful for teaching or for holiday fun.

3.b The Snowman’s Coat
The Snowman’s coat from the Science questions book series is also available as a big book.
